Profile: Blitzwing

Allegiance: Decepticon

Blitzwing is a Decepticon warrior that travelled with Megatron in pursuit of Optimus Prime's energy expedition into space. Blitzwing was aboard the Autobot ship when it crashed to Earth, and lay deactivated within it for 4 million years, until he was repaired and reactivated.

Not long after his reactivation Blitzwing, and his fellow triple-changer, Astrotrain, attempted a coup to unseat not only Megatron, but Starscream as well. The coup failed, but Megatron spared their lives in return for renewed obedience. Later, He and Astrotrain were sent to make contact with the human known as Lord Chumley, a hunter who had captured many of the Autobots, but Blitzwing and Astrotrain were captured by the human as well.Once set free, they tried to kill Chumley, until they were forced to retreat by Optimus Prime.

Blitzwing continued to serve Megatron as the Decepticons eventually gained full control of Cybertron. He participated in the siege of Autobot City in 2005 and returned to Cybertron after Megatron fell at Optimus Prime's hands. After the advent of Unicron, Blitzwing fled to Charr and remained there with the other Decepticon refugees until the Quintessons returned. Unlike the other Decepticons, Blitzwing refused to follow the Quintessons. He waited alone on Charr until Galvatron arrived. From there he followed Galvatron to the Quintesson ship, where Galvatron forged an alliance with the Quintessons. Later during their joint attack on Earth and Cybertron, Blitzwing overheard the Quintessons planning to betray Galvatron and destroy both the Autobots and Decepticons. Galvatron refused to hear Blitzwing's report, so Blitzwing, fearing for the survival of all Transformers, reported the information he gathered to Rodimus Prime. Even though he saved them all, Galvatron branded Blitzwing a traitor and banished him from the Decepticons.

Blitzwing was later seen among the Decepticons again in 2006, so it is possible that Galvatron forgave him for his noble act.

Current status: Unknown, possibly Lost in space aboard Scorponok
