Profile: Lord Chumley

Lord Chumley is a big game hunter, bored with the usual hunt. Chumley decided to go after more dangerous game. First he brought down an experimental Soviet jet, piloted by Oktober Guard pilot Daina. The incident caused great tension between the US and USSR, putting the two nations on the brink of war. Afterward Chumley decided that he would hunt Optimus Prime. He captured several Autobots with ingenius traps, and the help of his butler Dinsmore, to use as bait. Chumley threatened to destroy the Autobots with various torture devices unless Optimus Prime came to his lair.

Optimus Prime took Chumley's challenge, and journeyed into Chumley's obstacle course. The Decepticons intercepted Chumley's challenge to Optimus, and Astrotrain and Blitzwing were sent to make contact with Chumley, as a potential ally. Astrotrain and Blitzwing followed Optimus into the maze and fell victim to Chumley's traps.

Optimus Prime broke through Chumley's traps and defenses, and in an act of desperation, Chumley asked the captive Astrotrain and Blitzwing for help. The Decepticons agreed to help, but then changed their minds and decided to kill Chumley instead. After Optimus freed the captive Autobots and repelled the Decepticons, they captured Lord Chumley.

Current Status: Chumley was last seen tied to the nosecone of the experimental Soviet Jet in the USSR. His life was left to the tender mercies of Soviet justice. (Note: The Soviet Union continued to exist at least until the year 2006 in the TF Universe).
