Profile: Auggie Cahnay

Allegiance: Autobot sympathizer

Auggie Cahnay is a famous human race car driver who participated in the Europa 5000 race, which ran from Paris to Istanbul in 1986. Auggie seemed arrogant, rude and self-absorbed. He only joined the race for the prize money, and drove very recklessly. His experimental car was built by Simultech Industries. Several Autobots also joined the race, hoping to donate their winnings to charity.

The race was actually a Decepticon ruse to lure Auggie to Istanbul, so that the Decepticons could steal the special alloys used in the car. The Decepticons planned to use the alloys to recreate a Decepticon Weather Control device, of which the Pearl of Bahoudin belonged. The Stunticons stole Auggie's car and Auggie gave chase by joining up with Bluestreak. Bluestreak, Bumblebee and Tracks found the Decepticons.

Bumblebee grabbed the Pearl of Bahoudin and activated it's weather controlling powers, causing a huge lightning storm and tornado. Megatron ordered Menasor to destroy the Autobots and retreated, while the storm raged out of control. Augie crashed his car into Menasor's face, which gave Bumblebee a chance to destroy the Pearl. With the Pearl destroyed the calm weather returned. The Autobots and Auggie deduced that the whole race was a sham for Megatron to get his hands on Auggie's car. So, in a surprising change of heart, Auggie donated the Pearl's golden casing to supplement the money for charity.

Current status: Unknown; the last episode of Transformers was in 2007, so Auggie would be much older, if he is still living.

Voice Actor: Phillip Clarke
