Profile: Alana

Allegiance: Tlalikan

Alana belongs to an alien race of shapeshifters known as Tlaikans. The Tlalikans were oppressed by Decepticon rule, imposed by the artificial intelligence known as Deceptitran and its army of droid warriors. Alana's people gained their shape-changing ability from a strange site called the Well of Transformation, which changes corporeal beings into pure thought and then into any material form that they think about. Most of the Tlalikans assume the forms of merfolk, so that they may hide, beneath their planet's waters, from the grasp of Deceptitran.

The Autobots intercepted a distress signal from Deceptitran and Perceptor, Seaspray and Bumblebee went aboard Cosmos to investigate. A Decepticon group consisting of Megatron, Soundwave (as well as his cassettes), and Dirge arrived aboard Astrotrain shortly thereafter.

Alana forged an alliance with the Autobots and the Tlalikans assisted the Autobots in battling the Decepticons. Alana and Seaspray developed a romantic interest in each other, but felt at first that the physical differences in their species would prevent anything from developing, but thanks to the Well of Transformation Seaspray was able to become a Tlalikan for awhile and Alana changed into a Female Autobot. The Autobots, in conjunction with the Tlalikan elder, Tlaloc, capture and reprogram Deceptitran, turning the droid army on the Decepticons and detonating the Energon reserves Deceptitran gathered, freeing the Tlalikans.

Alana chose to remain among her people, just as Seaspray chose to remain among the Autobots. The current status of Alana is unknown.
