Profile: Afterburner

Allegiance: Autobot

Afterburner is a Technobot gunner created in the year 2006 by Grimlock from parts of Unicron, after the Dinobot commander received super-intelligence caused by a freak accident. Afterburner combines with his fellow Technobots to form the giant, Computron. Afterburner is loud, hot-headed and rebellious; qualities that he shares with his creator.

Afterburner spends most of his time battling the Decepticon group his team was created to counter, the Terrorcons, and the giant they form, Abominus. He has battled them on Earth and in space and has always helped the Autobots gain victory, in his own loud, angry manner.

The closest he came to death was when he was disassembled by an alien device called a Recreator. He was reconstituted thanks to the treachery of Dirk Mannis, a human trader. Together Afterburner and his Technobot brothers repelled the Quintessons and Terrorcons from Earth's solar system.

Afterburner assisted the Technobots in protecting the Morgan-Swafford Alloy from a Terrorcon raid, though they were unsuccessful in preventing the alloy's theft or Jessica Morgan's injury. He was also preset at the battle when the Decepticons stole the Key to the Plasma Energy Chamber from Autobot City.

Though some of his Technobot brothers were sited celebrating the beginning of the New Golden Age of Cybertron, Afterburner was not seen, so his current status is unknown.
